This application is simple to navigate. To commence, you will require a screenshot of the desired game to map the controller. Subsequently, add the new game and proceed with setting up the buttons. Most devices offer a convenient method for capturing screenshots. You merely initiate the game and capture the screen at the point where controller functionality will be employed.

Odo Gamepad Mapper emerged from the necessity to facilitate compatibility between my gamepads and Android games. Certain games do not inherently support gamepad integration; however, I encountered titles where some buttons were non-responsive. For example, while playing Rules of Survival, all buttons are functional except the two triggers crucial for gameplay. In Ark Survival Evolved, the D-pad malfunctions, whereas other buttons operate as intended. Therefore, this app was crafted to enable customization of these deficient controls into screen taps. Notably, configuring analog sticks presented challenges, particularly on devices running Android 7 (Nougat). Remarkably, no root access is mandated. The application functions as an accessibility service that interprets button inputs and executes touch commands, hence necessitating continuous operation of this service for functionality.

Notably, this app underwent testing on select gamepads and Android versions 8 (Oreo) and 9 (Pie). It is anticipated to be compatible with most Bluetooth gamepads catering to mobile platforms, if not all. Moreover, it is projected to function seamlessly on Android versions 7 and above.
